Chris founded BRO on the belief that people in recovery can truly benefit in a clean, sober and supportive environment.  Chris and BRO’s mission is to provide services such as drug-free housing and a linkage to treatment services for men and women in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction and facilitate their responsible and successful reentry into the community.
Chris strives for BRO to be able to assess an individual and/or family needs, facilitate appropriate referrals to community service providers and deliver a high quality alcohol and drug addiction intervention service.  One of the aspects Chris enjoys most about BRO is helping people in a crisis, facing a challenging situation and assisting them with reaching a positive outcome.  This is made much easier due to his strengths of compassion, perception, experience, psychological understanding and his hard work, dedication and commitment to ensuring that each client of BRO is provided a positive environment which is supportive of the development of new habits that clean and sober person must adopt to strengthen and support his/her physical recovery from alcohol and/or substance abuse.
Chris is involved with community and charitable organizations as well as professional entities.  Chris and BRO are members of the National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers and the National Association of Mental Illness.  He has volunteered his time to different worthy organizations and causes such as MADD and AID Atlanta.  He also participates annually with organizations such as the Boy’s and Girls Club with Toys for Tots at Christmas, “Chris’s Closet and a Coat Drive for the homeless and with local elementary schools “Back to School Supplies drive.”
Prior to establishing Breakthrough Recovery Outreach, Chris attended the University of Southwest Louisiana, where he majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Sociology.  While at USL, he played linebacker for the Ragin’ Cajuns.  He also enjoyed a brief stint of playing professionally in the Canadian Football League.  Chris is a proud member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
